Your dream journal
Anything you save in the journal at the bottom of the home page
stays in your browser's localStorage. It is not sent
to our servers, not synced across devices, and not visible to us.
If you clear your browser data, your journal is gone — there is no
backup we can restore. Use the "Export" button to save a JSON copy
anytime.
The interpret tool
When you submit a dream to the chat interpreter, the text of that dream is sent to our model provider (currently Anthropic) so the interpreter can answer. We also keep an anonymous copy on our server to study which images and themes recur across dreamers — no names, no email addresses, no IP addresses, no accounts, no cross- request linking. We never sell this data and we never train models on it. If you don't want your dream stored, simply don't submit it to the interpreter.
The visualize tool
When you ask the interpreter to render your dream as a woodcut, a short symbolic paraphrase of the dream is sent to OpenAI's image model. Same rules as above: no identifying information attached.
Cookies and analytics
We use a privacy-preserving page-view counter (Vercel Analytics) that sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses. If you've opted in elsewhere, we may use Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymization) and Microsoft Clarity for aggregated heatmaps. None of these tools record what you write in the interpreter or the journal.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.
Your rights
Under GDPR/UK GDPR/CCPA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we deliberately store no identifying information, we typically have nothing to return. If you believe we hold something we shouldn't, write to us at /contact.
Changes
If we change this policy in any non-trivial way, we'll bump the "last updated" date at the top.
